A traditional card game loved across all of Myanmar
Shan Koe Mee is a traditional card game that generations of Myanmar players have enjoyed. From young students in Yangon to elders in rural areas, it has wide appeal — its satisfying simplicity and split-second decision-making keep the game exciting.
Each player holds 3 cards and wins or loses based on the total value of those cards. 9 is the highest value, and a player who hits 9 is generally considered the winner. At m9pp, you can now enjoy the authentic fun of this game online.
m9pp combines Myanmar's card game culture with modern technology to give players a secure and fair environment to play Shan Koe Mee.
Understand the basic rules of Shan Koe Mee
A solid grasp of these rules means you can make decisions confidently at any point in the game.
How Card Values Are Counted
Cards 2 through 9 are counted at face value. 10, J, Q, and K are counted as zero. Ace is counted as 1.
Total of 3 Cards
Each player is dealt 3 cards. The total value of those 3 cards is taken modulo 10 — meaning if the total is 23, the actual value is 3.
Closest to Nine Wins
The player whose 3-card total equals 9 (or is closest to 9) wins. If two players tie on the same number, the winner is decided by card suit.
How Betting Works
Before the game starts, each player places the amount they want to bet. m9pp sets the minimum and maximum bet limits according to the game rules.
Bet Types
Players can bet directly on their own hand, and can also bet on the Banker side, giving more variety in how you play.
Quick Overview
After the cards are revealed, results are calculated instantly and winnings are transferred to the player's account right away. No waiting — just keep playing.
How to Play Better at Shan Koe Mee
Even in a game decided by luck, using smart techniques can make the experience much more enjoyable.
Manage Your Bankroll
Only bet an amount you can afford each round. Setting a loss limit in advance helps you stay in control of your play.
Read the Odds Between Cards
In a deck, there are many 10s and face cards (K), so results around 5, 6, and 7 tend to come up often — keep that in mind.
Consider Betting on the Banker
Betting on the Banker is a different strategy from what most players do. Those who have tried it say it can pay off in longer sessions.
Know When to Keep Playing
Don't rush to place big bets during a winning streak or a losing streak. A clear head is what leads to better results.
